TOMMY MADDOX LEADS THE STEELERS TO THEIR FIRST VICTORY OF A GREAT 2002 SEASON

WE ENJOYED THE JOURNEY - MANY THANKS!

Tommy leading the way.

My collage from the game.

The Steelers drive for the tying touchdown. Seven points behind, with less than five minutes remaining, Bill Cowher took the decision to bench his starter and bring on XFL MVP, Tommy Maddox.

Seven plays and 77 yards later, Tommy was connecting with Plaxico Burress for a 10-yard touchdown with just 2:02 remaining. In just over four minutes - Tommy became a hero as the game, once looking lost, went into overtime.

The stadium echoed to the chants of, "Tommy! Tommy! Tommy!" Not even a Hollywood script could have captured the excitement of two missed field goals and the winning kick by the Steelers. That part of the crowd, who had decided to head home early missed a beaut.

Pittsburgh now has the quarterback, an awesome offensive line with some great receivers. Get the secondary sorted and there could be one for the thumb. Those four words that mean so much to Steeler fans.
